Dioxin Testing - Holding Times
In the analysis of Dioxin/Furan, holding times are a minor concern as dioxin is a very stable compound and not subject to loss or degradation when handled in accordance with internal standard operating procedures. Many of the EPA method holding times are recommendations only (normally from time of sampling)—and these are indicated with "*" below. Finally, most holding times are longer than standard turnaround times and rarely become an issue in dioxin testing.
